Perspective. A simple tool to make your pictures better.

Perspectives is a tool designed to assist you in making photographs that look a bit better by offering:

1) Auto-leveling.

2) Auto perspective mapping.
a) Simple 4 point maintains 2:3 aspect ratio
b) Rectilinear maintains geometric proportions of objects

3) Swipe left/right (in portrait) to get sunrise and sunset data. Sliders allow the user to adjust the date for a 1 year period.

4) Swipe up/down (in portrait) to get moon position and phase data for the next 24 hours.

5) Tap to focus and double tap to expose.

6) Image stacking for reduced noise and smooth water effects.

7) Auto tripod detection.

8) Email and Text Messaging support.

When perspective mapping is used on architectural items, such as when you travel, the resulting images tend to look more natural and professional. By using the built in accelerometer in the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3G S, Perspectives will determine if the camera is level and if it is pointed up or down. Perspectives will show how the resulting image will be cropped in real time with a rule of thirds grid and, when the image is taken,"warp" the image to level and perspective map final image.

When the phone is mounted on a tripod, for example when using the wonderful Glif, Perspectives will allow up to 128 images to be taken back to back and then averaged. This is great for creating noise free images and smooth mist like effects on water.

NEW: In Version 1.6, Perspectives includes the ability to use your current location to calculate display the location and phase of the moon using augmented reality.
